There will be a Startup India Innovation Week organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry from 10th January 2023 to 16th January 2023 to celebrate both the Indian Startup Ecosystem and National Startup Day (16th January 2023).
Startup India Innovation Week 2023 aims to engage startups ecosystem stakeholders across the nation during the 10th January-16th January 2023 and to spur the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation across the country during the 10th January-16th January 2023.
A statement from the Ministry of Commerce said that the Startup India Innovation Week 2023 will include Knowledge Sharing sessions for entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and other enablers. The sessions will be led by government officials, incubators, corporations, and investors from the start-up ecosystem, among others.
In line with the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, a wide range of startup related events will be held in over 75 locations across the country to foster entrepreneurship and innovation by engaging the startup community throughout the length and breadth of the nation in a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Some of these events include workshops that specifically address the needs of women entrepreneurs, workshops that train incubators, mentoring workshops, stakeholder round tables, conferences, capacity building workshops, startup pitching sessions, and many more.
DPIIT is organising the felicitation ceremony for the winners of the National Startup Awards 2022, a flagship initiative under Startup India, on 16th January 2023 to commemorate the National Startup Day. As part of the ceremony, startups and ecosystem enablers will be recognized and rewarded for their outstanding achievements across a variety of sectors, sub-sectors, and categories.
