Edelweiss General Insurance Rebrands As Zuno General Insurance

Edelweiss General Insurance announced on February 8, 2023, that it has rebranded itself as Zuno General Insurance. The rebranding is part of the company’s strategy to establish itself as a leader in the insurance industry and to better serve its customers. The new name, Zuno, is inspired by the word “zunō,” which means “brain” in Japanese, reflecting the company’s commitment to innovation and intelligence in its approach to insurance.

Edelweiss General Insurance was established in 2011 and has since grown to become a leading provider of insurance solutions in India. The company offers a wide range of insurance products, including health, motor, travel, home, and personal accident insurance, to both individuals and businesses. With its rebranding as Zuno General Insurance, the company aims to build on its strengths and expand its reach in the Indian market.

The rebranding also includes a new logo, which is intended to represent the company’s focus on innovation, intelligence, and simplicity. The new logo features a stylized brain, symbolizing the company’s commitment to solving complex problems with intelligence and creativity. The new brand identity will be rolled out across all of the company’s touchpoints, including its website, social media channels, and marketing materials.

Zuno General Insurance CEO, Rajeev Jain, said that the rebranding is a significant step for the company and reflects its commitment to delivering innovative and intelligent insurance solutions to its customers. “Our goal is to be the insurance company of choice for consumers and businesses in India, and the rebranding is a key step towards achieving that goal,” he said.

The business has also released a consumer research named ‘Usage Based Insurance: Decoding Awareness, Perception and Behaviour’. The survey sought to ascertain Millennial and GenZ knowledge, comprehension, and consideration for UBI. For over three years, Zuno General Insurance has been at the forefront of the usage-based insurance (UBI) idea in India. In conjunction with Crownit, Zuno General Insurance conducted the study in eight cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad.
