Tamil Nadu +2 result 2023 declared

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) declared the results of the Class 12th or HSC exams on May 8. Over 8,03,385 students appeared for the exams, out of which over 7.5 lakh cleared it. The overall pass percentage this year stood at 94.03 percent. While the toppers’ list was not officially announced by the board, S Nandini, daughter of a daily-wage worker, scored a perfect 600. Nandini is a student of a government-aided school in Dindigul district. Speaking to ANI, Nandini expressed her happiness at the result and credited her father for encouraging her to pursue education.

Nandini’s father, Saravanakumar, is a carpenter, and her mother is a homemaker. She also has a younger brother in 6th std. According to Saravanakumar, his daughter was focused on studies from a young age, and always wanted to lessen the burden on her parents. Girls outperformed boys once again in the board exams, with a pass percentage of 96.38 percent, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 91.45 percent.

As per district wise toppers, Virudhnagar topped with 97.85 percent, followed by Tiruppur with 97.79 percent, and Permumbalur with 97.59 percent. In terms of stream wise pass percentage, 96.32 percent of students passed the Class 12 exams in the science stream, 91.63 percent in the commerce stream, 81.89 percent in the arts stream, and 82.11 percent in the vocational stream.
