During the signing of the contract to take over Haifa Port with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Gautam Adani, the head of the Adani Group, whose corporate empire has been shaken by allegations of fraud by US short seller Hindenburg Research, spoke about the potential for investment in the port.
Last July, the firm announced the $1.15 billion acquisition of Haifa Port alongside a local partner, Gadot. Prime Minister Netanyahu called the Haifa port contract with the Adani Group a “enormous milestone,” adding it will increase connection between the two nations in a variety of ways.
Adani stated that the organisation has formed several crucial collaborations in Israel, including with Elbit Systems, Israel Weapon Systems, and the Israel Innovation Authority. We are also in the midst of establishing an Artificial Intelligence lab in Tel Aviv, which will work closely with our new AI facilities in India and the United States. According to Adani, India-Israel relationship stretches back to September 23, 1918, when soldiers from Mysore, Hyderabad, and Jodhpur fought here for Haifa’s freedom.
