A six-hour police siege in Wollongbar, NSW has ended with a 45-year-old man in custody. The man was taken into custody about 2pm on Thursday after a stand-off with police that began at around 8am.
The man was allegedly armed with a knife and barricaded himself inside a house on the Bruxner Highway. Police negotiators were called in to talk to the man and he was eventually taken into custody without incident.
The man is yet to be charged, but police say he is assisting with their inquiries.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8am on Thursday after reports of a man making threats.
Police established a perimeter around the house and closed off the Bruxner Highway.
Specialist police negotiators were called in to talk to the man and he was eventually taken into custody about 2pm.
No one was injured during the incident.
