The Udyan Utsav, also known as the “Festival of Gardens,” is an annual event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, India. The event, which is organized by the President’s Secretariat, showcases the beauty and diversity of the various gardens at the Presidential Estate.
The theme for the 2023 Udyan Utsav is “Amrit Udyan” which means “Garden of Nectar.” The Amrit Udyan is a new addition to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and is designed to showcase the rich biodiversity of the Indian subcontinent.
The Amrit Udyan is spread over an area of 2.5 hectares and will feature a wide range of plants and trees from different regions of India. Some of the main attractions of the garden include a collection of over 500 medicinal plants, a bamboo grove, a rock garden, a herb garden and a butterfly park.
The garden has been designed to provide a unique experience to visitors and will be open to the public from January 31 to February 28, 2023. Visitors can take a guided tour of the garden, learn about the various plants and trees, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
In addition to the Amrit Udyan, the Udyan Utsav will also include a series of cultural programs, including musical performances, dance shows, and workshops. The President’s Secretariat has also announced that there will be a special “Children’s Day” program on February 14, 2023, where children will be able to participate in various activities and will be able to learn about the importance of protecting our environment.
