The BRS meet at Khammam town will see Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and CPI’s D Raja sharing the dais with KCR. With the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) first public meeting in Khammam on Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao aims to step on to the national platform while not losing sight of the local pressure points for the party.
B Vinod Kumar said the BRS is trying to bring in “alternative politics” to the nation alleging that the spirit of the Constitution, including secularism, socialism and liberty, is getting diluted under the present BJP-led NDA regime.
Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday took a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav who will be attending the BRS-led mega rally in Khammam. He said, “Opposition parties are running to other parts of the country to satiate their hunger for seats. People should see that Uttar Pradesh government is working for development.”
He said ahead of BRS Party’s Mega rally in Khammam on Wednesday, TRS Minister Harish Rao Thanneeru showed confidence in the public meeting and said it will change the direction and face of the country. “It is a matter of pride for the nation of Telangana that the 4 national parties of the country have come together on the call of CM KCR.”
The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti’s first public meeting in Telangana would be held on Wednesday in Khammam town and a host of leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are set to take part in it. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI General Secretary D Raja and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav would attend the BRS meet.
