An incident of alleged molestation and assault has led to a case being registered against the manager of a bar in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to an official from the Koparkhairane police station, no arrests have been made thus far. The altercation occurred in the early hours of May 20 between Sudarshan Shetty, the bar manager, and a 27-year-old singer, following a disagreement over the discontinuation of songs.

The singer lodged a complaint with the police, stating that Shetty not only molested her but also punched her in the face, causing injuries to her eyes. Allegedly, Shetty verbally abused the singer and forced her to leave the premises of the bar. In response to the complaint, the police have registered a case against Sudarshan Shetty under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including outraging the modesty of a woman, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, intentionally insulting someone to provoke them, and criminal intimidation.

The authorities are currently investigating the matter to gather evidence and determine the course of action. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of individuals working in the entertainment industry and the need for stringent measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
