Mirzapur Actor Shahnawaz Pradhan Passes Away at 49

The entertainment industry was struck with grief as news of actor Shahnawaz Pradhan’s untimely demise surfaced on social media on Thursday. The 49-year-old actor, who was popularly known for his role as Superintendent of Police Parshuram Gupta in the web series “Mirzapur”, passed away due to a cardiac arrest.

Pradhan had been suffering from diabetes and was reportedly undergoing treatment for the same. However, his sudden demise has left his family, friends, and colleagues in shock.

The actor made his mark in the industry with his powerful performances in films like “Satya”, “Raajneeti”, “Munna Michael”, and “Rocky Handsome” among others. He also acted in popular TV shows like “Kumkum Bhagya” and “Savitri Devi College & Hospital”. However, it was his role in the web series “Mirzapur” that brought him widespread recognition and love from the audience.

Pradhan’s co-stars from “Mirzapur” expressed their grief over his sudden demise on social media. Actor Pankaj Tripathi, who played the iconic character of Kaleen Bhaiya in the series, took to Twitter to express his condolences. He wrote, “I’m deeply saddened by the news of Shahnawaz Pradhan’s untimely demise. He was a wonderful actor and a good human being. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, my friend.”

Actor Rasika Dugal, who played the role of Beena Tripathi in the series, also expressed her shock and sadness. She wrote, “Rest in peace, Shahnawaz. It was an honour to work with you. Your smile, warmth and wit will be missed. Condolences to your family and friends.”

Pradhan’s sudden demise has once again brought to the forefront the issue of the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially in the times of the ongoing pandemic.
