Mumbai City FC is an Indian professional football club based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, that competes in the Indian Super League (ISL), the top tier of Indian football. The club was founded in 2014 and has since become one of the most successful teams in the ISL.

In its debut season in 2014, Mumbai City FC finished fifth in the league. The following season, they improved to third place and qualified for the ISL playoffs for the first time. In the 2016 ISL season, Mumbai City FC finished runners-up, losing to Atlético de Kolkata in the final.

In the 2017–18 ISL season, Mumbai City FC won their first ISL title, defeating Bengaluru FC 3–1 in the final. They repeated their success in the 2020–21 season, winning their second ISL title after defeating SC East Bengal 2–1 in the final.

Mumbai City FC also made their AFC Champions League debut in 2022. In their first appearance, they reached the group stage, where they finished third in their group.

Mumbai City FC plays their home matches at the Mumbai Football Arena in Andheri, Mumbai. The club has a large and passionate fan base, known as the “Islanders”.

Mumbai City FC’s current squad features a number of talented players, including Indian internationals Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Mourtada Fall, and Bipin Siani. The club is currently managed by Des Buckingham.
